UND was founded out of a passion for good design and quality. We create everyday joy through functional and practical quality products with good design and authentic stories, inspired by Norwegian lifestyle, nature & culture.
The UN's 17 sustainability goals were defined early in the process as our compass, and are an important guide in the choices we make with regard to products, materials, packaging and production.
We use natural, biodegradable fibers in our textiles – cotton, wool, silk, linen etc.
We try to generate as little waste as possible. Such as:
- as little as possible, but well-thought-out packaging, wrapping & labeling of the products.
- we do not have paper catalogues.
We choose to believe that our well-thought-out and good designs give the products a value that contributes to greater owner satisfaction and less use and disposal.
We choose our producers with care and concern for both the workers and the environment.
We have chosen producers who are flexible and give us the opportunity to produce the quantities we need at all times. One of the world's biggest environmental challenges is overproduction. We do not want to contribute to that.
We currently produce in Norway, Nepal, Portugal, China & India.
